The Garcia Family

I grew up in my Dad's Whitewater Shop in Bozeman Montana. I have been around and in the whitewater industry my entire life. My older brother Ian also owns and operates the biggest River Sports store in South America. This business has become a family legacy and our life's passion.

I watched my dad kayak down the rivers of Montana and Idaho as a kid and would hear stories of the Bio Bio and Futaleufu before bed time. This obviously had a massive influence on my brothers and I growing up. We all became professional level whitewater kayakers and traveled the world competing and exploring on the wildest and most beautiful rivers we could find. One thing led to another, and in this sport you have to be a dreamer to stay in the industry. Over time our Dad, Mike Garcia, has continued to mentor us and teach us how to provide river equipment in the best way possible for our local communities.

Rivers are the branches of my family tree and I hope that by taking on retail in my own special way I can share my experience provide the best river gear to the whitewater mecca of the PNW.
